Our foster carers are at the heart of everything we do.
By providing temporary care in your own home, you give a Sprocker the time they need to recover, decompress and prepare for adoption. We cover veterinary care, food and behaviour support — you provide patience, structure and a safe, loving environment.

Our fundraising and admin volunteers play an essential role in helping Sprocker Assist & Rescue continue our work.
By supporting donations, fundraising ideas and online activity, you help ensure we can provide care, support and rehoming for Sprockers in need. This role suits someone who enjoys working behind the scenes and wants to make a real difference from home.

Our volunteer homecheckers play a vital role in making sure every Sprocker is matched with the right home.
Homecheckers visit prospective adopters and foster carers to understand their home environment and lifestyle, helping us ensure each placement sets both dogs and people up for success.
Full guidance and support are provided — all you need is empathy, good communication skills and an understanding of what makes a happy Sprocker home.
Our volunteer caseworkers play a vital role in supporting Sprockers through foster care and adoption.
Caseworkers liaise with foster carers, adopters and behaviour advisors, helping to match the right dog to the right home and ensuring ongoing welfare once a dog has been rehomed.
If you’re organised, empathetic and confident working with both people and dogs, this could be a rewarding volunteer role for you.
Our volunteer transporters are the lifeline that connects our rescue network.
Transporters help move dogs safely between foster homes, veterinary appointments and their new forever families.
We provide full guidance and reimburse travel expenses — all you need is a suitable vehicle, confidence with dogs and a little time to spare.
