I have two dogs — Tigger and Roo. Roo is a rescue who had a rough start in life. He was found as a street dog in Crete and, sadly, was then mistreated in the UK. Thankfully, he’s now found his forever home with me, my wife Emma, our little girl who’s 3, and Tigger (also 3).

Our little girl is my main drive for the marathon. We’re currently in the process of adopting her — she’s been living with us for five months and we can’t wait to officially give her her forever home. So you could say she’s a rescue too ☺️
Tigger and Roo have been amazing in helping her settle and feel safe during her transition into our family.
I want to show her — and be a good example to her — that you can achieve incredible things when you work hard, no matter how late in life you start a journey. I’ll be 39 when I run the marathon. Not old, but certainly past my peak 😂
I run 5–10km fairly regularly, often with the dogs and the buggy. Honestly, I run so I can enjoy a burger without feeling too guilty.
My journey with Sprocker Assist started over a pint with my brother-in-law. I said, “I’d love to do a marathon, but I want to do it for a charity that really needs the help.” And here we are.
I have close friends with Sprockers, and I’ve worked with some incredibly well-trained Sprockers in my job — these dogs are just amazing. I couldn’t think of a better way to raise money than by helping our four-legged friends, especially when they’ve given our little girl so much support.
Even when we were on holiday at Centre Parcs last week, I still kept up with my three runs and core strength workouts… and obviously, ballet is also key training whilst on holiday
