Age: 2 years 9 months

Can I be rehomed with other dogs? Yes, calm ones

Can I be rehomed with cats? No

Can we be rehomed with children? Over 16 only

Neutered: Yes

Teddy would probably benefit from an experienced spaniel home with other dogs, possibly a calmer dog or bitch would be best suited. As he has not had any formal training, this must be a requirement in his new home with a view to looking at a ‘pet gundog’ training class or scentwork, mantrailing. Teddy needs a job once his impulse control/prey drive is under control through focuswork & foundational training.

Teddy is just a young adolescent dog that needs structure & an experienced home, the guarding would need to be monitored for it escalating.

Teddy has had no formal training, his training has been done at home by his owner. Teddy receives plenty of exercise but this is only on a longline, as he cannot be trusted off lead as his owner says his recall is now non-existent, which they feel is due to his ‘high prey drive’ and there being a pheasant farm nearby.

Teddy does receive some enrichment but is in need of a lot more. His recent health checks did not show any issues, no pain & he is currently upto date with his vaccinations.

Teddy’s guarding issues are limited to the living room only with the resident dog another neutered male that is approx 5yrs of age & is Golden Retriever.

Please contact us if you can offer a foster home to Teddy

Help me find a home!

Can you offer one of our dogs a home?

We are looking for foster families and adoptive families.

A home check will be required, along with an adoption donation of between £200 to £500 which helps to contribute to kennel fees, vaccinations, microchipping, spay/neutering, flea/worming treatment and other veterinary costs. This adoption fee will contribute to the care of all our dogs.  Your case handler will advise the cost of each dog

Please have a read of our adoption process  so you can prepare for how we will work with you and the possible dog. We also offer help and support for you both in the future with our behaviourists, Lisa & Amanda
