Rolo is a very anxious little boy who will need someone to work closely with him to help him overcome his anxieties with both humans and other dogs. He is currently with a foster family so we can get a better understanding of him.

Age: 3 years 9 months

Can I be rehomed with other dogs? Yes, calm ones

Can I be rehomed with cats? No

Can we be rehomed with children? Over 16 only

Neutered: Yes

TYPE OF HOME NEEDED

Rolo will need a very experienced owner as he is picking up on his current owner’s anxiety when out with him, so a calming influence is a must. He has the potential to be a great little worker and just needs a guiding hand.

MY HISTORY

Rolo has come to us due to a change in his owner’s circumstances. He does currently live with a cat and 3 children but on this occasion we are asking for no children under 16. Rolo was working towards his KC Good Citizen Award but couldn’t cope with all the other dogs in the class. He did enjoy scentwork so we feel someone who is prepared to carry this on with Rolo and possibly an activity such as mantrailing where he is working but not surrounded by other dogs all the time. You will need to meet Rolo at least twice but preferably more before adopting him as it takes him some time to calm but once he does he is a very cuddly boy and loves his treats.

MY TEMPERAMENT WITH OTHER DOGS

We feel he would be best suited as the only dog in the house initially to build up his confidence

Please contact us if you can offer a home to Rolo

Help us find a home!

Can you offer one of our dogs a home?

We are looking for foster families and adoptive families.

A home check will be required, along with an adoption donation of between £200 to £500 which helps to contribute to kennel fees, vaccinations, microchipping, spay/neutering, flea/worming treatment and other veterinary costs. This adoption fee will contribute to the care of all our dogs.  Your case handler will advise the cost of each dog

Please have a read of our adoption process  so you can prepare for how we will work with you and the possible dog. We also offer help and support for you both in the future with our behaviourists, Lisa & Amanda
