Apply via our Adoption form, complete a home check, meet the dog and, if successful, complete adoption paperwork. We provide post-adoption support for life.

What do you look for in an adopter?

We look for committed, suitable homes that can meet a Sprocker’s exercise, training and social needs. Every application is considered case-by-case to ensure the best match.

Are there fees to adopt?

Yes — adoption contributions help cover veterinary care, vaccinations and rehabilitation. Exact fees vary by dog; contact us for current details.

Do you provide help after adoption?

Yes — lifetime support including behaviour advice, training resources and access to our owner community and behaviour team.

What does fostering involve?

Fostering provides temporary care for a rescue Sprocker in your home. Fosterers provide day-to-day care, socialisation and assessment while we find a permanent home. Full support provided.

How long does a foster placement usually last?

Placements vary — from a few weeks to several months — depending on the dog’s needs and how quickly we find the right adopter.

Can I foster if I work full-time?

Yes — many fosterers work full-time. We match dogs to homes based on routines and can offer extra support such as day care, training or transport when needed.

What is the 3-3-3 rule for rescue dogs?

The 3-3-3 rule describes common phases after rehoming: 3 days of shock, 3 weeks of settling in, and 3 months to fully decompress and show their true personality. We provide guidance for each stage.

Our latest Happy Ending – Frankie (now Roxy)

From uncertainty to unconditional love—Frankie (now Roxy) has found her forever home and a best friend to share it with.

When we first spoke to Frankie’s previous owners, it was clear that she was caught in the middle of a difficult situation. Due to a relationship breakdown, Frankie was being left alone for long stretches each day, and despite our conversations with both parties, it became apparent that her needs weren’t being fully met. She wasn’t getting the training, stimulation or exercise that a young sprocker needs, and the home environment sounded far from calm or consistent. We made it a priority to move her as soon as possible, and thankfully, we found just the right match.

Fast forward to today—and what a transformation.

Frankie, now renamed Roxy, has truly landed on her paws. Her adopter, Alice McAlpine, shared this lovely update with us:

“I thought you might like a quick photo update on Frankie (now Roxy). She’s settled in really well, and she and our previous rescue Sprocker are thick as thieves! Hopefully, she’s now beginning to live her best life. This is their usual sleeping arrangement during the day—despite there being two empty beds nearby, they always snuggle together. She’s still crated at night but seems very happy with the routine.”

It’s stories like these that remind us why we do what we do. From a chaotic and uncertain start to a home filled with companionship and care—Roxy’s journey is a perfect reminder that the right home can change everything.

Can you offer one of our dogs a home?

We are looking for foster families and adoptive families.

A home check will be required, along with an adoption donation of between £200 to £500 which helps to contribute to kennel fees, vaccinations, microchipping, spay/neutering, flea/worming treatment and other veterinary costs. This adoption fee will contribute to the care of all our dogs. Your case handler will advise the cost of each dog
