Meet Max – a gorgeous, affectionate Sprocker who’s nearly 8 and looking for an understanding forever home where he can truly thrive.
Charlie is a one-year-old, neutered Sprocker Spaniel who has all the ingredients to become an incredible companion in the right home.
Currently based in the Midlands, Charlie is looking for an experienced, active family who can offer him the time, training and lifestyle he needs to thrive. While he is currently located in the Midlands, we are happy to transport him to the right home, so please don’t let distance put you off enquiring.
Charlie is an exceptionally people-focused boy who absolutely loves being with his humans. Whether it’s learning something new, playing scent games or simply leaning in for a cuddle, he thrives on interaction and being part of the family. His assessment described him as an “extremely happy and loving boy” who enjoys fuss from everyone he meets and is comfortable being handled all over.
His current owner has worked incredibly hard to give him the very best start in life, and it shows.
Charlie already understands a range of cues including sit, down, wait, heel, watch me and leave. He has no food or toy guarding issues, loves scent work and interactive games, travels beautifully in the car and is fully house trained.
Like many young working spaniels, Charlie is bright, busy and full of enthusiasm. His current challenges centre around impulse control and becoming over-aroused by other dogs, wildlife and moving objects. Birds, squirrels, cats, cyclists, runners—and even blowing leaves—can all be incredibly exciting! He also pulls on the lead and will need an owner committed to continuing his positive, reward-based training.
Charlie’s owner has made the heartbreaking decision to seek a new home following an unexpected relationship breakdown. As a single parent working full-time while studying, she can no longer provide the level of exercise, enrichment and ongoing training that Charlie needs. This decision has been made entirely out of love and with Charlie’s future firmly in mind.
