Hugo is 5 and came to SAR with a bit of trouble trusting people. 

He had extreme rescource guarding which resulted in him being aggressive. He needed someone with a lot of experience of his issues. He seemed not to be overly keen on men either initially

From Hugo’s new home:

‘We are glad to let you know Hugo has settled in really well with us.

We picked up Hugo from Waggy Tails Farm at the beginning of September 2023. Clare & Dave had been working with him & they showed us how to continue his training. Their work with Hugo made our continued training with him much easier & we thank them for their hard work

He has now been with us seven weeks & we are able to let him off the lead at the Woodland Trust area nearby although we still are careful in regard to his guarding his space

He is a very loving dog & loves his walks & games going to the garden centre & local village visits

Needless to say we love him to bits
