As we mark the one-year anniversary of Daisy joining our family, my wife Val and I want to extend a heartfelt thank you to Sprocker Assist and Rescue for bringing her into our lives.

Life without Daisy is unimaginable. She has brought so much joy into our home on every level. She’s my loyal companion, always by my side with a thumping tail, a snuggle monster to Val, and a cherished friend to our grandson.
Daisy’s love for her toys remains unwavering. Although Steve the Spider has been retired, she now has a new favorite: Donkey, a small stuffed toy she proudly nicked from the cat. It’s now her prized possession!
Every day, Daisy reminds me when it’s time for her walks, and she eagerly greets any chance to go outside, no matter the length of the outing. Her excitement is contagious, and we can’t help but smile at her boundless enthusiasm.
Over the past 12 months, Daisy has blossomed in ways we couldn’t have imagined. Her recall is fantastic, and she socializes well with both dogs and cats—although we still keep an eye out for her playful interest in squirrels and birds. Her friendly nature endears her to everyone she meets, and people often joke about wanting to take her home. (Not on our watch!)
Daisy enriches our lives in ways that exceed anything we anticipated. It’s hard to believe she’s only been with us for a year—it feels like she’s always been a part of our family.
The Rolling Stones lyrics couldn’t ring truer: “You can’t always get what you want, but if you try sometime you’ll find, you get what you need.” That’s Daisy for us. She’s exactly what we needed, even if we didn’t know it at the time.
Our deepest gratitude goes out to SAR for the incredible work you do in finding the perfect homes for Sprockers in need. We feel truly blessed to have Daisy in our lives, and we are forever grateful for the role you played in bringing her to us.
Thank you, Sprocker Assist and Rescue, for everything!
Can you offer one of our dogs a home?
We are looking for foster families and adoptive families.
A home check will be required, along with an adoption donation of between £200 to £500 which helps to contribute to kennel fees, vaccinations, microchipping, spay/neutering, flea/worming treatment and other veterinary costs. This adoption fee will contribute to the care of all our dogs. Your case handler will advise the cost of each dog
Please have a read of our adoption process so you can prepare for how we will work with you and the possible dog. We also offer help and support for you both in the future with our behaviourists.
If you are considering helping by fostering or permanently taking on a dog, then please complete one of our online forms
