Why I’m Running the London Marathon

I’d only been running for a couple of months when I sat down to watch the London Marathon on TV. Listening to everyone’s stories and seeing the sheer sense of achievement on their faces was inspiring — not just the pride of crossing that finish line, but the incredible impact they had raising money for causes close to their hearts. I thought, “What an amazing thing to do — and what an achievement!”

Why I Chose Sprocker Assist

I’ve always loved dogs, and if me and my fiancé had the time, we would definitely get a Sprocker. They’re gorgeous, full of energy, and honestly… they just seem like they’d match my personality perfectly! Since we can’t have one ourselves right now, I thought: what better way to support the breed than by raising money to help them find loving homes?

About My Animals

We don’t have Sprockers in the family, but my parents have spaniels — so I know how much hard work (and love!) goes into looking after them. One of their spaniels recently had knee surgery and had to spend three months on crate rest… bless him.

What I Do for a Living

I work for Coca-Cola Europacific Partners and I’m currently completing an adult apprenticeship in Mechatronics.

Why I’m Excited for the Marathon

I’m so excited to be part of such a huge event. I can’t wait to soak up the atmosphere that everyone raves about — I know it’s going to be unforgettable.

What’s Scaring Me

The thought of running 26 miles is pretty terrifying… and so is the idea of months of training through the cold winter!

How I’m Preparing

I’m keeping up with my usual running for now, but I’ll be starting an official training block from 5th January — after I’ve made the most of Christmas treats, of course!
