Amber has a happy new home

Amber has settled into her new home in Cornwall and loving the beach!

Amber came to us after her owner was diagnosed with an illness and was unable to take the best care of her. Amber had been out on walks but on lead and very short ones for a number of months so she was a little hyper active when she was first taken to her foster home.

Laura, her new owner recently gave us an update on her progress…

‘Today is the 6 month anniversary of me and Amber Dog who I picked up just before Christmas.

It’s been quite a journey that is for sure – she is strong, feisty and so so smart. But she was unsure of the world and how to interact so there’s been some difficult days. We celebrate the days where she doesn’t bolt in panic or shout at another dog or randomly bark at a passer by.

However – she loves the beach. She’s met some amazing friends – Dog and human and she’s embracing training and playing. And her personality and our relationship is growing day by day.’

Can you offer one of our dogs a home?

We are looking for foster families and adoptive families.

A home check will be required, along with an adoption donation of between £200 to £500 which helps to contribute to kennel fees, vaccinations, microchipping, spay/neutering, flea/worming treatment and other veterinary costs. This adoption fee will contribute to the care of all our dogs.  Your case handler will advise the cost of each dog

Please have a read of our adoption process  so you can prepare for how we will work with you and the possible dog. We also offer help and support for you both in the future with our behaviourists, Lisa & Amanda
