Dog Behaviourist
We have two fabulous behaviourists, Lisa and Amanda, who are involved with most of our rehoming cases in some way.
Our experts are there for behaviourist support in many ways. We ask that basic obedience and training is dealt with by the adopters.
Lisa or Amanda will step in and help with behaviourist advice when needed. This can be done over the phone, depending on the issues. Any aggression is only ever dealt with in-person – never over the phone. If eithr live within travelling distance, we will sort a visit and support. If this is not possible, then we will pay for a local fully qualified behaviourist to assist.
Our expert’s advice can be as little or as much as needed – they can be involved in just one phone call, but also still involved in some complex cases many years later.

She is trained in canine biomechanics, static & dynamic critical analysis, vet report writing and have knowledge of how pain & discomfort can exacerbate and in some cases cause unwanted and often problematic behaviours in dogs. This assessment can be done remotely.
Amanda has also completed the British College of Canine Studies Level 4 Advanced Canine Behaviour Diploma with merit. I completed the absoluteDOGS Pro Dog Trainer Programme in 2018 and their Geek programme in 2019. I am a Professional member of the Pet Professional Network.

Lisa Regan
Behaviour Expert
Lisa has been a long time guardian of her own Spaniels. She has recently joined the team and is very proud to have been asked.
Lisa has over 17 years experience within the dog industry, as an owner, trainer and over the years as a volunteer with other rescue charities.
In recent years she has completed several canine related courses including a Level 4 Advanced Canine Behaviour.
She is really looking forward to being able to use her knowledge to help anyone who might need advice from minor training problems through to behavioural issues. One of her favourite quotes is one from Benjamin Franklin which rings true ‘An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of Cure’
